Interior
and balcony photos
The villa is reached from the main road
running up the mountain through Islamlar by a drive twisting though beautiful
nature, less than one minute off the main road. There is a private gate
at the entrance to the property. The villa
itself is comprised of two floors and can be entered through the large garage
or through the entrance hall or kitchen door on the first floor. One
unique feature of this villa is the long balcony that runs along the front of
the first floor, with doors leading to the master bedroom and living room, and
the spacious courtyard terrace attached to the balcony with doors leading to
the master bedroom, living room and dining room. Overhead ceilings
are made of wood. The fantastic, unobstructed view over the pool, front
gardens and the valley to the sea is enjoyed from these.
On the first floor a nicely-sized,
modern kitchen is found with quality Bosch appliances including an extra-large
fridge, kitchen dining area and wall hutch. There is a spacious dining
area with a decorative hand-carved wooden bar as well as carved wooden
cabinets framing the opening from the entrance hall. Danish-style
air-circulating stove. The living room is also spacious and has a wood burning
fireplace and large wooden hand-carved cabinets along an expanse of the
walls. Imported furniture, television. Gorgeous view to the
sea. The master bedroom also has a lovely sea view, with large
wardrobes, large en suite bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub and separate
shower. Also, a large dressing room is connected to this bedroom.
A second bedroom (currently used as a child's study/playroom) is found on the
first floor as well. Also a shared bathroom with shower cabinet.
A roomy storage closet is found off the entrance hall. There is air
conditioning in the living room and master bedroom, although this seldom needs
to be used due to the cooling mountain breezes.
From the first floor, a staircase
leads one down to the long, spacious corridor of the ground floor, which is
more like two rooms separated by an arch. From this corridor are
branched several rooms. At the far end is a wood paneled room containing
the gym, dry sauna and resting area connected to a bathroom with shower.
Next to this room is large, bright and airy bedroom with sizeable wardrobe and
television, opening to the pool terrace. Further along the corridor is a
very spacious office with a large table, desk and many shelves. This
room opens to the pool terrace. Other rooms on this floor include the
utility room, a workshop with tools, a storage room and the boiler room.
All are very generously sized. In the utility room is a deep freeze,
washing machine and plenty of storage space. Next to this is the boiler
room with a 20 kilowatt regulator, 30 kilowatt generator, tank holding 1000
liters of diesel, the central heating system run on diesel and a large
electric water heater. Also, plenty of storage space here. On this
floor is also the door to the garage. The garage is quite roomy with
space for one vehicle and lots of storage space. It has an automatic
opener.
The exterior of the villa's ground
floor is covered in local stone. Wooden frames and doors inside and out.

The
villa is surrounded by extensive beautifully landscaped gardens
of roses, shrubs, grape vines, several types of fruit trees, many types of
flowers, cactus, banana and palm trees, oleander and more. There is a
two large arbors covered with grape vines which makes a nice shady place to
relax. Nearby one of these there is also a small pond. Large
vegetable garden. Also, a sizeable lawn. The property produces nearly
three tons of grapes per year.
In front of the villa is a large pool,
approximately 60 m2, encircled by quite a large pool terrace of non-slip
travertine tiles. On the terrace is a roofed gazebo where alfresco meals
or drinks can be enjoyed.
There is parking for several cars inside of
the main gate and plenty of room outside for many more cars.
The perimeter of the property is surrounded
by local stone walls and there is also a 60,000 liter water depo, although
this is rarely used because the water is abundant and free in Islamlar.

About the Islamlar area
Islamlar
village (Bodamya or Bodamia in Greek) is a wonderfully lush area in the Taurus
Mountains, four
miles from Kalkan. The local industries are olive and grape growing. The villa is surrounded by some great
walking paths and located only a quarter mile from the local trout farm
restaurants. It also benefits from wonderful, healthy mountain breezes, the area is 6 degrees cooler than Kalkan with no humidity - so there is
usually little need for air conditioning in the villa.
